27 – NYS Support Magistrates Violate State Constitution
In 1988, I had my attorney file my first appeal after I was tried, convicted and sentenced to jail in a closed court proceeding that deprived me of my constitutional right to a jury trial. He raised two issues. 1. I could not afford to pay what was ordered as it was more than my income. 2.
